Vivekananda Jayanti


Vidyalaya celebrated Vivekananda Jayanti( National Youth Day) on 12th January, 2021 to pay homage and tribute to Swami Vivekananda. It was celebrated at three places at F-Type colony (KHEP,NEEPCO), in the market area and in the Vidyalaya activity hall. In all the three places, the programme began at 8.30 am by lightening the auspicious lamp and offering flowers at the portrait of Swamiji. Principal Sri P.V.Ramesan, Vice -Principal Sri Prahlad Gogoi and Vice-Principal Sri Arundoy Roy Choudhury lighted the auspicious lamp and offered floral tribute in the Vidyalaya activity hall, at F – Type colony (Neepco) and in the market area respectively. It was followed by floral tribute by teachers and nearby people. There was a bhajan by a group of students in all the three places. Sri B.K.Das( DGM,IT, KHEP, NEEPCO), Sri Rabindra Singh Routela (Technical, Dalmia Cement, Umrangso)
 were chief guest and guest of honour respectively in the activity hall on the occasion. There was speech by Sri R.K.Tiwari at F-Type, Sri Manoranjan Barman (Social activist, Umrangso Market) in the market area and Sri P.V.Ramesan (Principal) in the activity hall. The significance of the auspicious day was elaborated by all the three speakers. Principal urged us to follow the path of Swamiji and contribute for nation building.
