Sanitization of VKV Umrangso was done on 19th September for the 2nd time as Vidyalaya reopened for classes IX – XII students. Neepco Hospital, Umrangso did the sanitization work with utmost care so that nobody falls prey to Covid-19.


Sanitization of VKV Umrangso was done on 28th August for the sake of reopening of the school. It was done by a group of employees of Neepco Hospital, Umrangso.

Students of Class XI Arts of the Vidyalaya participated in the Video Conferencing on "Careers in Mass Communication" conducted by Aseem Foundation from Pune.

Vidyalaya has started Kendra barga session on every Monday Evening from 6 Pm to 7 PM. All are hereby invited to join in this interactive and interesting session.



Km Sainjali Boro has become AISSCE Board topper of the Vidyalaya by scoring 92.40 % in Arts stream and Kr Piyush Kr Dubey has become AISSCE board topper of the Vidyalaya by scoring 91.40 % in Science stream (Session: 2021-22).

Kr Jyotishman Borah has become AISSE Board topper of the Vidyalaya by scoring 94.00 %(Session: 2021-22).
Mission Statements

1. In the next three years, the school will improve reading habits of students at all the stages providing access to an updated library and conducting various other reading related activities.

2. The efforts of the Vidyalaya for admitting the students from financially weak section of the society will continue till 2020.

3. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which has been introduced in our school in the year 2014 will continue atleast upto 2018 and if necessary, further.

4. In each class one rack will be provided to keep the class library books.

5. The Vidyalaya has been conducting Yoga classes for the students (including students from nearby institutions) and for communities around the school. It will continue for next 3 years and if necessary, further.

6. Computer literacy programmes for the community in general and parents in particular will be conducted after school hours.
