Teachers' Orientation Camp
The TOC was organised for those teachers who have rendered services of two to six years in VKVs under VKSPV. There were 135 teachers from 22
VKVs, Vice Principals, Principals and most of the officers of the organisation present there. The camp started on 1st August,
2016 and continued till 3rd August, 2016. The participant teachers
began their day with morning
prayer at 6.00 AM followed by Yoga and Pranayama and Kendra
Barga. After “Alpahar” at 8.45 AM, the first Boudhik
Satra began at 9.45 followed by satra II at 11.00 AM, satra III at 12.10 PM,Geet Abhyas at 3.00 PM,satra IV at 4.00 PM,Krida yoga at 5.00 PM, Bhajan Sandhya at 6.45 PM and Prerana Se Punarutthan/Sanskritik
Sandhya at 8.30 PM. The resource persons
to conduct the sessions were Sri Bhanu Das, general secretary, Vivekananda
Kendra, Kanyakumari, Sri Pravin Dabholkar, Secretary, VKSPV and Joint General Secretary,
Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, S.P.Verma from Vidya Institute, Vivek Ponkshe
from Gnyana Prabodhini, Pune, Dr. Arjuman Ara, professor from the English and
Foreign Language University, Shilling Campus and Jayanta Sharma from Next
Education Pvts Ltd, Hyderabad.
The sessions during
those three days like “Man making classroom” , “Technology in Education” by Sri
Vivek Ponkshe, “CCE and NCF” by Sri S.P.Verma, “Eknathji, teacher of teachers”,
by Sri Bhanudas “ICT in teaching language (English)” by Smt Arjuman Ara and
“Use of Technology (Smart Board) in classroom” were really fruitful to all the
participants and others present there. The valediction ceremony was graced by
Sri Amarendra Barua, Honourable Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao, who inspired
all the teachers by his valuable speech on teachers’ role in moulding the
budding buds. The Principal of VKV Umrangso, Sri P V Ramesan offered gratitude
to all the officials of VKSPV, teachers, students and all others whose hard
work made the Teachers Orientation Camp a successful one.
