Students of VKV (Neepco) Umrangso celebrated Teacher’s Day in a grand way. In the morning, the acting teachers took classes and felt the hardship their teachers undertake to impart lessons to them. At 12.30 there was a cultural programme. It began with paying homage at the portraits of Dr. Servapalli Radhakrishnan and Swamiji by Sri Gurucharan Das sir and vice Principal Sri Prahlad Gogoi sir while all of us chanted Mangalacharana. It was followed by speech by acting Principal on the life and philosophy of the renowned teacher, Dr. Servapalli Radhakrishnan. Following that, there were many power packed events – group song, group dance and fusion dance by students. Finally the teachers were served special and delicious dish at the end of the programme.
