Srimanta Sankardev, the pioneer of neo-vaishnavite movement and Eksaran Naamdhatma shaped thefoundation of Assamese culture. On his tirobhav tithi, Vidyalaya observed it in befitting way. The programme began with offering flower at his portrait by Prahlad Gogoi (Vice Principa) and respected guest Sri Achyut Nath Sir. Tarini kanta Sarma (a teacher) delivered the welcome address and significance of the day. A group of students presented melodious “Borgeet” on the occasion. Respected guest Sri Achyut Nath sir delivered his valuable speech on Sankardev and his contribution to us. The teachers and students presented dihanam on the occasion.
