Vivekananda Kendra vidyalaya
(NEEPCO) Umrangso celebrated the 73rd Republic Day on 26th January 2022. The
program started with hoisting National Flag by the Principal Sri P.V.Ramesan
accompanied by Vice-principal Sri Prahlad Gogoi and Sri Paban Pegu (PET) while
the National Anthem was sung by all the people and pupil present there. Keeping
the covid-19 protocol and SOP (released by the Government of Assam) in mind,
only vaccinated students were allowed to attend the program. Principal sir in
his wonderful speech detailed how India got freedom through uncountable
sacrifices by the freedom fighters and we are living as an independent nation
and how the constitution came on effect. He also spoke of the national
integrity in diversity. Praiseworthy to mention that principal sir appreciated
the continuous support and efforts of all the teaching and non-teaching staff,
NEEPCO authority, enthusiastic parents and students of the Vidyalaya for
gifting the nation with good human every year. Smt. Suma Das (teacher) and Smt.
Geetashree Sarmah (teacher) guided a group of students to add extra flavour by
presenting a heart touching patriotic song and National Song- Vande mataram.
The program ended with shanti path followed by sweet distribution.
