The much
eagerly awaited sports meet of VKV Umrangso finally gave the clarion call on
6th January, 2022 to all the enthusiastic students to show their zeal for it in the
ground. The inaugural ceremony of the meet began with floral tribute at the
portrait of Swamiji by Sri P. V.
Ramesan sir and Vice Principal Sri Prahlad Gogoi Sir. It was followed by
welcome speech by Principal sir. In his speech sir highlighted the importance
of games and sports, discipline in students' carrier and wished all round
development of the students. During the meet, the enthusiastic students
showed their talent taking part in different events as running race, long jump,
shot put, etc. The prizes were given on prize distribution ceremony which was
held on the eve of national youth day.
