VKV Umrangso celebrated its Annual Day amidst
vibrancy, joy and mesmerizing moment. It was celebrated on the eve of National
Youth Day at NRC auditorium. The programme started with lightening of the
auspicious lamp by chief guest Debotosh

guests of honour Sri Randeep Changkakoti (DGM, HR, NEEPCO), Sri Sanjib
Mishra (HR, Head, N.E. Dalmia Cement), Sri Rabindra Singh Routela (GM, Technical,
Dalmia Cement, Umrangso), Md. Yousuf Alamgir (GM HR, Dalmia Cement, Umrangso) and Joybesh Warisa (Chairman, Umrangso Municipal Committee)
accompanied by Principal Sri P. V. Ramesan and Vice Principal Sri Arundhoy Roy
Choudhury. It was followed by a welcome song by the teachers of the vidyalaya. The Principal welcomed the chief guest Sri Debotosh
Bhattacharjee along with other guests, parents and
all others who thronged on the occasion. In his welcome address he highlighted
the mission of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas set by Eknathji Ranade and
requested the students to develop themselves physically, intellectually and
emotionally and thereby contribute to the nation building mission of Swami
Vivekananda. This was followed by felicitation of guests by Principal and Vice
Principal of the vidyalaya. In the prize distribution ceremony, the chief guest
and other guests of honour gave away some of the prizes to students. Vice
Principal Sri Arundhoy Roy Choudhury presented the school report in detail. He
presented the achievements and progress of the school during the academic
session 2019-20. It was followed by cultural events – bhajan, patriotic song,
mime, dances, drama, etc. The cultural programme was full of vibrancy, zest and
elation. The over-crowded auditorium enjoyed the programme to the lees. Sri K.
K. Sukla (PGT Hindi) thanked one and all to make the
