Annual Day
VKV (NEEPCO) Umrangso
celebrated its Annual Day amidst vibrancy, joy and mesmerizing moment. It was
celebrated on the eve of National Youth Day at NRC auditorium. The programme
began with lightening of the auspicious lamp by Sri Padmanav Chakraborty
(Assistant executive director, Dalmia Bharat Cement Ltd), Sri. Mohan Dihingia
(DGM, civil, KHEP, NEEPCO), Sri Randeep Changkakoti(Senior manager, HR, KHEP,
NEEPCO), B.K. Chakravorty (Sr. Manager, Civil, KHEP, NEEPCO), Sri P.V.Ramesan
(Principal V.K.V. Umrangso) and Sri Tonmoy Sarkar (Vice Principal, V.K.V. Umrangso).
The Principal of the vidyalaya welcomed the guests, parents and all others who
thronged on the occasion. In his welcome address he highlighted the mission of
Vivekananda Kendra and appealed the students to imbibe Sawmiji’s nation
building ideology. Respected guests gave away some of the prizes to students.
Vice Principal Sri T. Sarkar Sir, then, presented the school report
highlighting the achievements and progress that the school achieved during the
academic session 2017-18. Finally S.N.Pukayasthya (PGT Biology) thanked one and
all to make the first part of the programme a successful one. The second part
that is the cultural programme was full of vibrancy, zest and elation. The
over-crowded auditorium enjoyed the programme to the lees. Some of the
attractions of the cultural programme were Gayan Bayan, Jhumur Nritya, Yoga
Demonstration, Nepali Dance, Bihu Dance, etc.
