Vidyalaya paid homage to the
great hero, Lachit Borphukan on 24th November 2018 in the activity
hall. The observation began with floral tribute by Sri K K Sukla (a teacher) and
Dr Ambika Hojai, Chief Medical Officer, NEEPCO Hospital at the portrait of
Lachit Borphukan. It was followed by a speech by Sri Dipankar Dev Nath (a teacher)
highlighting the great contribution of Lachit Borphukan. A group of students
sang a patriotic song on the occasion. There was a debate competition among the
students of classes VII to XII where the participants showed active
participation in it. The chief guest Dr Ambika Hojai spoke a few words and
encouraged the students to build their personality taking part in such type of
activities in future as well. She also suggested conducting debate at least
once in a month so as to give the students opportunity to develop themselves.
