Krida Mahatsav
The students of VKV (NEEPCO)
Umrangso made all of us proud as they brought laurels to our Vidyalaya. A total
of 43 students escorted and guided by 5 teachers went to Krida Mahatsav, an
inter VKV Sports Meet for 20 VKVs, held at VKV Borogolai and VKV Tingrai. The
mega event began on 11th of November 2017 and at came to an end on
16th November 2017. During the Krida Mahatsav, our students showed
spirit of sportsmanship, agility, skill and thirst for name and fame and thereby
managed to snatch medals from tough competitors. They made us really proud
bagging 7 medals which are really very difficult. The students who achieved
their feats in it are:
- Km Prantik Baruah (Gold Medals in 100 mtr and 200 mtr Long Jump)
- Su Kisna Kemprai (Silver medals in 800 mtr race)
- Km Anirban Dihingia (Bronze medal in Shot Put)
- Km Prantik Baruah, Su Juman Enghi, Km Prantumoni Bordoloi and Km Britison Sangma ( gold medal in 4x100 Relay Race for boys)
- Su Betelda Beypi, Su Kisna Kemprai, Su Sikha Bora and Su Sringdi Warisa (gold medal in 4x100 mtr Relay Race for girls)
For stupendous performance in
various events, Km Prantik Baruah was honoured with the best athlete in the
category of boys. Our students’ hard work and performance grabbed the third
position in the Krida Mahatsav. All the medals, trophies and certificates of participation
were given away here today (24/11/2017) in the morning assembly by Respected Principal
and Vice Principal in presence of distinguished guest Sri Debotosh
Bhattacharjee ( HOP, KHEP, NEEPCO, Umrangso), Sri Mohan Dihingia ( DGM, KHEP,
NEEPCO, Umrangso) and Sri Randeep Changkakoti
( Sr Manager, HR, KHEP, NEEPCO,
Umrangso). In his encouraging words, Sri Debotosh Bhattacharjee appreciated and
lauded our students for great success in the Krida Mahatsav. He also thanked
the Principal for being the guiding factor for this grand success and advised
us to maintain the spirit of sportsmanship so that the student become more
successful and being laurels to all of us.
