Children's Day

Vidyalaya celebrated Children's Day on 14th November 2017 to pay tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary. The programme began with floral tribute at the portrait of Nehruji by the Principal. It was followed by a patriotic song by a group of students. Sri  Atul Chandra Roy, a teacher spoke in brief about the architect of modern India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. There was patriotic song competition among the four houses. Finally, the Principal of the Vidyalaya threw much light on Nehruj's contribution to our nation. In his speech he highlighted Jawaharlal Nehru's vision to motherland and hard work done during the time of crisis. He devoted himself during the freedom struggle as well as being the Prime Minister of India.
On that day, the vidyalaya also organized a sport meet for the students of Classes KG to III and an inter house patriotic song competition was also conducted for the students of classes IV to VI.  On that befitting occasion different prizes of different competitions was given to the students of classes IV to VI. All the students from classes IV to VI were present on the programme. Su. Dulu Das, a teacher of the vidyalaya delivered a speech on that day at primary section. Some of the contents of her speech are as follows:
  1.        Significance of celebrating Children's Day.
  2.        Brief introduction of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru.
  3.        Role of the parents, teachers and adults towards the children.  
  4.        Role of the children towards the development of the nation.
